The Beginning

My journey began in 2019 when I first discovered my passion for technology and programming. This was a pivotal year that set the foundation for everything that followed. It was when I started my degree in Information Systems at IFES – Colatina Campus.

2020
Challenge

First Major Project

The year 2020 brought unprecedented challenges. Early on in college, I already had the opportunity to take part in one of the biggest challenges up to that point: a large project built from scratch, working across all areas of software development. With the support of my professors, we went through every stage — from requirements gathering, analysis, and prototyping to development, client validation, training, deployment, and server configuration. We did absolutely everything in this project; it was a truly comprehensive learning experience across all possible areas.

Impact

This transformative year accelerated digital adoption and opened new possibilities for remote-first development. The lessons learned continue to influence how I approach modern software development.

career

Professional Growth

In October 2022, I joined IM Digital as a Frontend Developer and began working on building Shopify themes. I didn’t have much experience working with many coworkers, nor was I used to communicating in English, so it was a big leap and quite challenging at the beginning.

This period was crucial for building professional relationships and establishing myself in the tech community. The skills developed here became the cornerstone of my career.

Today
current

Present Day

Currently, I am working at IM Digital. Nowadays, my focus has shifted more toward the backend, building store integrations with Shopify through the GraphQL Shopify API. I still work with frontend development, but recently I’ve been focusing more on this backend work.

  • Sharing knowledge through writing and mentoring

The journey continues with an open mind and a passion for creating exceptional digital experiences. I’m excited to see what the future holds! Looking ahead, I am exploring new possibilities and feel curious and excited about what the future holds with these new technologies and tools, which already enable significant advances in productivity.
